A kind and compassionate Senior Social Worker to work within the Short Term Support Services in our Single Point of Access Team at Lancashire County Council.
This is a wonderful chance to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable individuals within the community who require much needed care and support. We seek to promote independence and well-being at every opportunity, giving our service users the strength and courage to lead normal and healthy lives once again. As a Social Worker experienced in working in Intermediate Care settings and hospitals, you will be reaching out to those in crisis or who are acutely unwell within the community and the hospital itself.
We currently have one posts available in East Lancashire.
There is an expectation for you to travel to different locations to provide assessments therefore a driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. As this is a 7-day service (including bank holidays) there will be a requirement for you to work up to 26 weekends per year, we offer pay enhancements for weekend working.

This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
You must be registered (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council. For Social Worker/Care Manager positions where non social worker qualifications are accepted, registration is not required, and you will be appointed as a Care Manager.
