We are now seeking a technically skilled and commercially aware Website Manager to take ownership of the ongoing development, optimisation, and performance of our websites across the Fletchers Solicitors portfolio.
In this pivotal role, you'll ensure our websites deliver exceptional user experience, strong technical performance, and brand consistency while driving engagement and high conversion rates. Working in partnership with our Head of Digital Marketing, SEO & Content specialists, developers, and wider stakeholders, you'll lead day-to-day performance management, oversee longer-term development projects, and shape data-driven CRO initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:
Website Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of all Fletchers Solicitors websites, ensuring uptime, performance, and user experience are optimised.
- Own the website roadmap, from functional improvements to major redevelopment projects.
- Act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and web development agencies.
Technical SEO & CRO
- Ensure technical SEO best practices are embedded across site structure, metadata, speed, and accessibility.
- Collaborate with the SEO & Content team on keyword targeting, content optimisation, and search visibility.
- Implement and analyse A/B tests and conversion optimisation initiatives to improve lead generation and user journeys.
Content & Governance
- Support the SEO & Content team in publishing, maintaining, and optimising copy within CMS frameworks.
- Ensure brand consistency and tone of voice across all digital content.
Analytics & Reporting
- Use tools like Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager and Search Console to track and report on key web metrics.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on user behaviour, traffic sources and content performance.
- Support the Head of Digital in reporting on KPIs, ROI and website effectiveness.
Collaboration & Team Integration
- Work closely with digital, brand, PR, and campaign colleagues to support integrated marketing execution.
- Support legal teams and service leads in developing web presence for specific sectors or audiences.
- Contribute to broader digital marketing initiatives, helping ensure website activity aligns with paid, owned and earned media strategies.
Accessibility, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all websites meet accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG 2.1), providing inclusive experiences for all users.
- Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including GDPR, cookie policies, and SRA advertising guidelines.
- Support legal and risk teams to review and approve high-risk content, ensuring content accuracy and clarity.
- Develop and manage governance frameworks for website content ownership, sign-off processes, and CMS permissions.
- Promote web best practices across teams to ensure consistent, compliant and brand-aligned content publishing.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience managing high-performing websites, ideally in B2C or professional services environments.
- Solid understanding of technical SEO, UX/UI best practices and CRO techniques.
- Proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Experience managing agency relationships and briefing developers.
- Comfortable using analytics platforms (GA4, Tag Manager, Search Console) to track, measure and report performance.
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience in legal, healthcare or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and GDPR compliance in web environments.
- Experience supporting brand consistency across multiple sites or microsites.
- Working knowledge of website redevelopment, migration or replat forming projects.
