Description
As a retail ecommerce business that sells domain names, web hosting, security solutions over 90% of our business and revenue comes from our website. The CRO manager is responsible for the front of site management and optimising the website for conversion. Your will ideate and own potential improvements and run experiments that boost the onsite sales from our website.
The CRO manager will impact the following key metrics:
- Overall Conversion Rate
- Improve the Customer Signup Rate
- Increase additional product sales
- Improve user engagement rate
- Reduce bounce rates
- Reduce cart & payment abandonment rates
- Reduce churn rate caused due to website friction
We are a flexi-first business and value in-person collaboration and make an effort to get together when and where makes the most impact.
This is a fixed term contract until February 2027
Key outcomes of the role
- Oversee the design and layout of the e-commerce website, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and a conversion first user experience
- Partner with the UX/UI designer and conduct user research and analyze data to identify pain points and areas for improvement in the customer signup and purchase journey
- Analyse site performance data, including traffic patterns, user behavior, and conversion metrics, to identify opportunities for optimization
- Implement A/B testing across copy, design, layout, pricing etc. and other CRO strategies to improve key performance indicators, such as cart abandonment rates, average order value, and checkout completion
- Work with the marketing team to optimize landing pages, product pages, and calls to action
- Develop and own the testing program to improve on-site conversion. Work closely with customer acquisition, head of commercial to run tests that align with our commercial goals
- Build business cases based on test results, to inform future website design and volume, revenue growth Quickly interpret results, draw unique insights and clear recommendations for future experiments
- Clearly communicate results to the rest of the business to the Director, Retail, Customer Acquisition lead and other team members
- Monitor website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar, and other A/B testing tools) to track performance metrics and identify trends
- Prepare and present regular reports on website performance, user behaviour, and conversion rates to senior management
- Actively work with product and technical teams to implement changes, tests and gather data
About you
- Have a passion for Web Design or Digital Marketing
- Bring demonstrable experience in CRO and already have a process for optimisation and reporting results
- Enjoy a fast-paced environment
- Bring the experience of optimising e-commerce websites for better user experience and conversion rates
- Solid understanding of e-commerce, web design, or UX/UI design
- Be curious, research, and ask questions
- Be result and target driven and at the heart of our transformation
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing whilst being a thought leader, provoking debate and articulating ideas as well as results to a wide range of stakeholders

- Strong understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to web design
