Grade & Salary: RCS L, £35,000-£45,000 per annum, final offer depends on skills, experience, and interview performance
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time), 37.5 hours per week
Shift patterns: Mainly operating Monday to Friday, starting 8am or 9am, but you must be flexible to work alternative patterns or weekends to meet business needs
Location: Coventry, CV2 2TA

We're now looking for a Warehouse Ops Manager to lead our operations and drive success for our ecommerce and retail customer.

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to support our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • To strategically manage all warehouse, distribution and maintenance activities in line with DHL's policies and vision, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of all functions, performance and productivity, ensuring safe and cost-effective methods are a priority consideration; review and evaluate warehouse policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that the site is operating at maximum efficiency and optimum level.
  • To manage and implement the daily coordination of direct reports, ensuring that all schedules, regulations, records and working practices are up-to-date and in line with company policies and UK legislation, whilst maintaining excellent working practices and health & safety compliance across the business.
  • Support and supervise direct reports to help drive an engagement culture at the site, span of control x7 FLM's.
  • Control your operational processes (inbound, picking, outbound, etc), fulfilling service level agreed and meeting established deadlines.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Previous and practical experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager within a busy logistics environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management and legislation, LEAN manufacturing desired.
  • Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to organise and train direct reports.
  • Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software programmes and packages; TMS.
  • Continuous Improvement experience.
