Shift patterns: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm with flexibility
Location: Worksop - S80 3EG

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To strategically manage all warehouse and distribution activities in line with DHL's policies and vision, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of all functions, performance and productivity, ensuring safe and cost-effective methods are a priority consideration
• To manage and implement the daily coordination of direct reports, ensuring that all schedules, regulations, records and working practices are up-to-date and in line with company policies and UK legislation, whilst maintaining excellent working practices and health & safety compliance across the business
• Be the first point of contact for all customer & service provider escalations as part of succesfully executing the operational plan
• To continuously review and evaluate warehouse policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that the site is operating at maximum efficiency and optimum level

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous and practical experience in a similar people management role within a busy supply chain environment
• Strong stakeholder management experience, including both internal and external stakeholders
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to organise and train direct reports
• Excellent IT literacy, using Microsoft Office including Excel. As well as experience using Warehouse Management Systems (JDA Blue Yonder experience is advantageous)
• Analytically minded, with the ability to identify and analyze trends and patterns in data
