Newstaff Recruitment Agency in St Albans is currently looking for a Warehouse Manager for our client within the entertainment industry.

Warehouse Manager in St Albans

Pay: £30,000-£35,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to coordinate tasks and schedules.
• Manage warehouse productivity and ensure deadlines are met.
• Oversee deliveries, collections, and dispatch of goods.
• Manage stock levels, plan inventory, and conduct regular stock takes.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment using a computerised inventory system (training provided).
• Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and PAT testing on equipment (training provided).
• Ensure all equipment meets industry standards for preparation, testing, and packaging.
• Conduct basic fault finding on defective equipment.
• Supervise and instruct warehouse staff and occasional agency workers.
• Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
• Demonstrate a positive, flexible, and adaptable attitude.
• Work safely with electrical equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Strong computer literacy with experience using spreadsheet software.
• A meticulous and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
• Experience in a similar role or a demonstrably strong ability to meet the requirements of the position.
• A working knowledge of the entertainment industry (advantageous).
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
