Station Warehouse Manager

Key Activities:

• Ensure customer satisfaction through service delivery and entrepreneurial approach to developing customer centric solutions that may not exist within the wider DGF/UK network.
• Manage the warehouse team to deliver faultless service delivery to internal customers e.g. OFR Product via LCL CFS service, FXT through Amazon devanning service, etc.
• Support the Station Manager who through working with all sales channels aiming to drive the commercial business growth and sales development through close communication of Purfleet capabilities, flexibility, and entrepreneurial approach to developing new customer centric solutions.
• In support of the Station Manager drive the execution of unique service delivery and commercial strategy at Purfleet.
• Provides training, guidance and support to the warehouse teams.
• Lead extremely close liaison and team working, and high communication levels with the warehouse team to drive efficient processing and staff forecasting improvements.

Core Competencies

• Manage day to day Operations with the warehouse team and identify any issues. Discuss and provide solutions.
• Ensure stock controls and reports are completed weekly and identify any flaws
• Complete GEMBA walks regularly and ensure any points identified are resolved
• Check with operations team that product flows and storage meet present demand
• Attend morning huddle briefing on what is happening from operations team perspective and assist if any points remain unresolved and need discussion
• Ensure Warehouse responses to any queries whether inside or outside company are received timely and in full addressing the query.
• Upskill the warehouse team ensuring coverage across all operations.
• Address Station Metrics and station Indices daily and discuss performance with team through daily PD
• Complete all Health and Safety requirements. Action any findings through daily/monthly assessments.
• Manage all new staff inductions. Ensure awareness of roles and expectations.

Shaping Direction

• Ensure cohesion between Operation & Warehouse.
• Drive Health & Safety awareness within the team.

Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Warehouse Manager is desirable with extensive knowledge of Warehouse processes and procedures.

HOURS: 37.5 per week
