Speedy supplies the widest range of tools, specialist equipment and plant to support every job. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Manager to play a vital role within operations at our Warrington depot.
In this role, you will lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers to deliver a high-quality, consistent and cost-effective service while ensuring optimal use of assets. You will ensure KPIs are achieved, equipment is ready for hire, and all Health & Safety and Environmental standards are met at all times.
What you'll be doing
- Managing and developing a team of multi-skilled engineers
- Ensuring KPIs are achieved and equipment availability targets are met
- Overseeing testing, servicing and repair activities across the workshop
- Maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety and Environmental regulations
- Ensuring statutory training requirements are completed
- Supporting operational efficiency and contributing to our ESG - Decade to Deliver strategy
What you'll need
- Previous supervisory experience (ideally within hire, engineering or similar)
- Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with a hands-on approach
- Formal engineering qualifications (desirable)
- Good level of computer literacy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
