Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Package: £40k to £50k plus car/car allowance, bonus plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year
Hours: Various shifts to cover the different teams

Role purpose:
The Warehouse manager role is responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse, including inventory management, staff supervision, and ensuring efficient and safe operations.
Maintaining a low employee turnover rate by fostering a positive work environment and providing opportunities for growth while engaging and enthusing your teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accurate stock counts.
- Develop and implement inventory control systems & procedures to minimise discrepancies and optimise storage.
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Design & implement efficient workflows and operational processes to gain improvements across the operation.
Plan and manage different shifts ensuring an effective delivery in the warehousing operations. - Lead, manage and motivate the warehousing management team to achieve optimum performance, efficiencies and key results
- Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback to the team.
- Develop a positive, team-oriented culture and ensure proper communication across departments.
- Work closely with procurement, production, and distribution teams to streamline operations.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, and pallet jacks.
- Identify and address potential hazards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Prepare and present reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and key performance metrics.
- Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and cost-saving measures.
- Will be responsible for the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of your team, ensuring that the team complies with all legal, regulatory and compliance commitments, and manages day-to-day operational risks in a way that ensures SCC, our employees, customers and communities and environments in which we serve are protected.
- Work closely with the sales, customer service, and procurement teams to ensure seamless operations
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience in Warehouse Management or a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in implementing new ERP systems, including planning, execution, and training staff on new processes.
- Good leadership and organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Software and other inventory tracking tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Detailed knowledge of best in practice warehousing and logistics processes and procedures
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse management.
- Experience of financial business acumen, cost control and budgetary requirements
