Job Description

Key Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Managing warehouse team to deliver materials and equipment to meet agreed production schedules
  • Day to day management of warehouse operators with overall responsibility for performance and training standards
  • Ensure the warehouse facilities are maintained and monitored in a manner compliant with all GXP (e.g. GMP & GDP) and regulatory standards
  • Ensuring all operations are carried out per Health & Safety and Quality SOPs
  • Control the shipment of materials, pharmaceutical product, intermediates and active substances to and from customers/suppliers, ensuring compliance with all regulations and customer requirements
  • Maintain accurate stock listings and carry out regular stock take counts
  • Perform Inventory controls and keep quality standards high for Audits
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products using a computerise stock control system (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Overall control of all site waste management acting as key contact with waste contractor
  • Key point of contact for hosting client and regulatory audits / inspections of warehouse facilities
  • Implement change and contribute in cross functional initiatives across the organisation
  • Enhance efficiency through staff training, motivation, guidance and process Improvement
  • Attend key meetings on site as a representative of the Supply Chain function
  • Promote a clean, tidy, healthy and safe working environment and to ensure that the outcome and actions arising from audits are acted upon

  • Attention to detail - due to the GMP requirements associated with the job
  • Teamwork - working as part of the Warehouse team is vital in this role
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and Operating Instructions
  • Thoroughness - checking accuracy of own work and colleagues work helps maintain ongoing accurate control of SAP inventory
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to site safety policies

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

Min 5 years' experience in warehousing, inventory control and managing people.

HNC standard with working knowledge of ESH standards and safety matters

  • Ability to lift heavy Objects
  • Current forklift license
  • ERP Experience
