Job overview

Come and join a passionate team, dedicated to providing outstanding care for children, young people, their families and carers.

SLaM has the largest and most specialised CAMHS services in the country and is on the forefront of personalised support for young people and children. The Bethlem Adolescent PICU is an 7 bedded unit serving young people aged between 13-18 years from across South London and further afield, admitting some of the most unwell and vulnerable young people requiring intensive mental health services.

To deliver the high quality of care we believe our young people deserve, we have recruited a nursing team with high patient/staff ratios and in addition a comprehensive multidisciplinary team. We expect the nursing team to be at the centre of leading the unit and an integral part of the young people's recovery. To achieve this we need a motivated and dynamic Ward Manager who can lead, inspire and advocate for the nursing team, providing a role model who can demonstrate resilience and sound clinical skills and an ability to remain calm and compassionate in challenging situations.

We appreciate the role of a Ward Manager can be challenging and so we have included an Administration Manager in the establishment to take on a considerable amount of the administration tasks and release your time to focus on clinical care.
