Ward Manager for Ward 26- Care of the Older Person

Band 7

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Ward Manager to join our Care of the Older Person team, at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. The post is on Ward 26 which is a female ward, caring for patients who are requiring medical intervention for acute illnesses and conditions who are over the age of 65. The successful candidate should be motivated and have the ability to inspire the staff and have previous experience and evidence implementing changes and embedding good practice.

It is essential that you can work as part of a multidisciplinary team demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to support the development of the service. The successful applicant needs to have excellent organisational and time management skills. You will need to be a good communicator, be self-motivated, provide high standards of clinical skills and have the ability to influence and drive innovative practice within a fast growing and exciting department.

Main duties of the job

We have a position for a Ward Manager covering a secondment of the current manager . We fully support a multi-disciplinary team approach and work together to ensure our patients receive the highest standards of care and treatment.

Your role is pivotal in leading the team in order to set and ensure high standards are met and both supporting and developing our team members to allow them to reach their full potential.
