Job Description
- The Head of Product & Solutions UK&I will lead a 20+ person product team and will have responsibility for driving product growth and deployment efforts across United Kingdom and Ireland
- This leader will be part of the UK&I leadership team.
- He/she will shape a compelling strategy and narrative for the future of payments in the sub-region, across cards and non-cards.
- He/she will proactively lead conversations with senior executive clients, be adept at leading negotiating business terms, and coordinate with internal partners to set up for successful execution of client programs and solutions.
- He/she will lead a team that will work across the portfolio and have a deep understanding of existing and emerging consumer products, digital and authentication solutions, A2A and non-card payments.
- He/She has a proven track record of success in fast-paced matrixed environments with demanding timelines.
- He/she will be required to work directly with key leaders across the UK&I leadership team and have full responsibility for product revenue and expense targets related to Visa's UK&I business.
Specific Responsibilities
- Lead Products commercialization and delivery efforts with traditional and non-traditional Visa clients to maximize benefit of the Visa's payment solutions products - including Digital and Authentication Solutions, Core Payment Products (Debit, Credit, Premium), and A2A and non-card payment solutions.
- Engage with senior clients to provide thought leadership, stakeholder management and inspire innovation to drive action.
- Shape the product roadmap advocating for delivery of solutions that meet market needs
- Lead and manage a team of business leaders and product solution specialist ensuring clients and partners are able to adopt and launch compelling propositions powered by Visa Products and solutions.
- Drive business term negotiation and contract development with current and potential clients
- Collaborating with Legal, Privacy, Specialized Sales, Account Executives, and other key internal stakeholders, keeping informed on local market regulations impacting the business models of Visa and its clients
- Coordinate efforts with Regional and Global Product specialists, and work directly with Merchant and Issuer Account Executive teams to facilitate successful client onboarding and delivery
- Guide ongoing development and enhancement of necessary product materials including targeted product value proposition for our largest clients and product narratives to engage the entire market

Qualifications
• 20+ years of experience, including 8 years of experience in leadership and product development
• Proven ability to create, manage and deliver against P&L targets.
• Advanced communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
• Strong business acumen - ability to drive product commercialization, influence strategy while driving tactical program delivery
• Possess significant functional knowledge of card payments, digital and authentication technologies (e.g., Tokenisation, 3DSecure, eMVCO standards, Click to Pay, Digital Identity) and A2A payment solutions (e.g., Open Banking, Faster Payments, Clearing and Settlement infrastructure)
• Ability to envision new products and solutions that will contribute to the future the business
• Proven track record of high performance and recognized expertise in people leadership and product solutions
• A self-starter with a bias towards action with leadership quality that translate into results
• Creativity and resourcefulness to overcome unexpected roadblocks
• High proficiency in delivering materials
• Technology industry experience preferred
• Visa and financial/payment industry knowledge
