Brooklands College are looking to recruit a qualified volunteer Counsellor from to support our students. This role is suitable for counsellors seeking experience of working in Higher Education and/or working towards a Level 5 certificate in Counselling Young People or accreditation.

The role

The counselling service at Brooklands College is growing, with one permanent counsellor on the Weybridge site and other trainee counsellors working for a few hours with our students each week.

The role will offer counsellors the opportunity to gain experience of counselling in a team within Higher Education

You will provide brief counselling for up to 4 clients a day, one day a week from September 2024 - June 2025. We will support you throughout your time with us by providing fees toward supervision and regular help and guidance from the student counsellor and safeguarding team.

About you

To be eligible for this placement you must be a qualified counsellor from a recognised course. A passion for working with young people is essential and experience of working with young people is desirable but not essential.
