Volunteer - BCSSU

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Job Role

We're recruiting a Volunteer Coordinator to join our unit in Surrey, working with our team of volunteer mentors both face-to-face and remotely as they support domestic abuse perpetrators through a series of specialist interventions. The focus will be to address and change the thinking and behaviour of each perpetrator to reduce the possibility of reoffending.

We'll need your leadership skills as you supervise the team in both group settings and on a 1:1 basis, to address and meet the needs of our participants. You'll also be responsible for any recruitment or training required.

You'll be working within a multi-agency environment, alongside the police, substance misuse staff, survivor services and mental health staff to reduce and manage any risk of harm and risk of reoffending.

This is an excellent opportunity to promote positive change, the protection of victims and children, plus the development of pro-social behaviour through a multi-agency approach.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary of £23,088 - £24,801 per annum pro-rata (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

  • Pro-rata of 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Birthday Day off (with the opportunity to buy additional days)
  • 2 Volunteer Days
  • Pension - 5% Employee 5% Employer
  • Healthcare Cash Plan, incl. 3 x salary life assurance
  • Annual salary review
  • Refer a friend scheme
  • Free access to Benefit Hub - an online portal with access to a wide range of retail discounts, cycle to work scheme, and additional voluntary benefits
