Job Description

Clinical staff in our hospices provide a range of activities for patients, which would not be possible without the support of our volunteers. We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to help support clinical staff in the hospice by providing a welcoming environment for patients and their families and by coordinating activity sessions.

Your role will include some of, but is not restricted to, the following tasks:

  • Provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere which is appropriate for activities
  • Welcome and chat to patients and carers
  • Plan a timetable of activity sessions for patients
  • Promote the sessions within the hospice
  • Help organise and deliver the sessions
  • Identify equipment needs for additional activities and discuss with the clinical team
  • Help with other related tasks as necessary
