VISUAL MERCHANDISING MANAGER

The Visual Merchandising Manager will play an integral role managing the implementation of the Visual Merchandising strategy and driving in-store excellence for the Prestige division in UK&I. An operational and creative mind, who can work autonomously within the Beauty field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Visual Merchandising Manager, you are responsible for leading In-store VM projects from brief to final execution for brands such as Gucci, Chloe, Burberry, Hugo Boss, Marc Jacobs, amongst many other prestige brands.

You are a professional experienced in managing VM projects within budgetary parameters and agreed timelines. You must have experience operating at VM manager level within the Beauty industry and you bring expertise of the UK&I retailer landscape. You will support the Head of Visual Merchandising and the VM team to achieve instore excellence, productive and customer centric executions in Flagships, Standalone spaces, National doors and Pop-ups, in line with the business needs.

The Visual Merchandising Manager role requires both project execution and administrative skills as well as a creative approach, with an eye for Beauty executions. It takes place in a multi-functional environment involving the management of multiple stakeholders.

Your main focus:

  • Responsible for design, project management and implementation of Visual Merchandising executionsboth Permanent and Temporary, within budget and agreed deadlines.
  • Responsible for implementation of NPD and stand updatesconsidering all customer touch points to build customer centric concepts. This includes the development of conceptual designs, achievement of internal, Global and retailer's approvals, owning briefs and managing external agencies, communicating to internal teams, final implementation, and reporting.
  • Responsible for new door openings, leading the organisation and operations to ensure all elements and teams are appointed for physical set out and launches.
  • Responsible for budget control including Temporary VM, OPEX and allocated CAPEX projects, as well as responsible of performing administrative tasks for raising Purchase Orders, invoicing and reporting.
  • Responsible for compliance and maintenance of our brand's permanent state, including coaching of field teams, owning the maintenance process, briefing and management of aftermarket agencies.
  • Creation of UK&I VM planograms ensuring compliance in store in collaboration with the VM team and CoMex teams.
  • Creation of VM monthly guidelines and product launch packs ensuring all stand updates and animations are communicated to field teams according to internal guideline standards.
  • Responsible for visual and video updates across the Permanent state in collaboration with the VM Executive.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to create periodical forecasts of Global items in line with the roll out strategy, product launches and allocated budget.
  • Conduct periodical visits to key doors to ensure the best VM standards are met and product launches are correctly implemented in store. Strengthen relationships and coach field teams to ensure teams are trained and informed of in-store presentation guidelines.
  • Brief the in-house designer and external agencies in line with brand guidelines in a creative, effective, and professional way to minimise reworks and optimise timings.
  • Lead the collaboration and develop good relationship with external suppliers and agencies from creative brief to production. Regularly visiting suppliers to check and supervise production processes, quality of materials, prototyping and managing the organisation of product launches.
  • Develop strong relationships with retailers to ensure best in class executions. Acting as a brand ambassador and fostering collaborative relationships, building trust in Coty's VM department to accelerate approval processes.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

You like to blend your creative skills with your project management abilities and have extensive experience in the beauty field and are comfortable challenging the status quo with innovative ideas. As a Visual Merchandising Manager, you are an accomplished team player, passionate about Beauty and in-store design, with experience and appetite for owning all aspects of the VM action, supported by excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. You get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you bring:

  • Experience in similar roles
  • Experience in managing a diverse and complex matrix of stakeholder and achieving approvals in required times.
  • Office package literate: Excel, Power Point, Outlook. Strong Power Point skills to create outstanding presentations and ability to present to different stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
  • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign skills are desirable.
  • Experience with administrative tasks: raise POs, invoicing, forecasting, reporting.
  • Able to read and understand CAD, Manufacture designs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of 3D design, able to read, brief and support the creation of architectural renders.
  • Technical knowledge about materials and production techniques.
