Visitor Experience Officer / Duty Manager

Brooklands Museum, the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, and home to Concorde, is seeking a dedicated Visitor Experience Officer/Duty Manager. This special role involves overseeing daily museum operations to ensure they meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold our Brooklands Commitment to deliver exceptional service standards, maximizing visitor enjoyment.
  • Maintain quality presentation standards while ensuring the health, safety, and security of the museum, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with a small team of Duty Managers to provide coverage seven days a week.
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and occasionally challenging environment.

We are looking for an organised, level-headed, and multi-tasking individual to work alongside our Volunteer Stewards and staff team, delivering a memorable visitor experience to all.

Located on a 32-acre site, Brooklands Museum is home to the world's first purpose-built motor racing circuit and one of the most productive aircraft factories in Europe during the twentieth century. We welcome around 185,000 visitors annually, including members of the public, Brooklands Members, VIPs, corporate hospitality guests, and school groups.

As an independent museum and registered charity, visitor contributions are vital for the ongoing conservation and preservation of our unique site and historic collection. It is essential that our Brooklands Commitment, "Brooklands at its best, every day," is consistently delivered, ensuring every visitor has a memorable, enjoyable, and inspiring experience.
