• Role: Vehicle Preparation Assistant
• Salary: £12.10 per hour plus bonus
• Location: Derby
• Hours: 42.5 hrs per week
• Days: 5 over 7, this will include the weekends as we are a 7-day retail business
• Contract type: Permanent

About the role

Our preparation department is a key department on every site, our fantastic Vehicle Preparation Assistants support the business by providing a hands-on operational service managing cars as they arrive on site. Working closely with colleagues and customers, you will manage your work via an app that creates a computer-based list to work from and facilitates the collection of vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. You will complete basic mechanical maintenance as and when required.

What will my day look like?

• Checking in cars in all weathers, managing our in-house IT systems
• Daily you will be checking vehicles for damage, checking all vehicle specifications and service history, and completing inspection data for vehicle loading
• This is a fast-paced role so the ability to stay calm and maintain excellent attention to detail as well as the desire to produce high-quality work is really important
• Support with the recondition of vehicles and the preparation for collection and pitch
• High attention to detail is required to detect and rectify any issues outside of our standard

• Due to the nature of the role, you will need a full UK driving licence
• Be able to work on your initiative and as part of a team
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
