Located in an area of outstanding scenery, close to Great Harwood. The home boasts its own private grounds and equipment with the latest facilities both indoors and outside. We offer accommodation and care for children who have severe learning disabilities and diverse abilities. This role is ideal for individuals seeking career advancement and eager to apply their leadership and management skills for the welfare of children.

The role is the perfect opportunity for an existing manager or aspiring home manager to lead an established and high-performing team, providing short breaks to children who have different abilities.

Who are we ...

It is an exciting time to be part of our Residential Overnight Break Service for children who have a range of disabilities that include severe learning disability, physical disabilities, and associated medical conditions, Autism and behaviours that challenge others. Short breaks make a huge difference to families, which is reflected in the fact that all 3 of our services are rated Outstanding or Good by Ofsted!

We are now recruiting a home manager for 6 - 12 months maternity cover on a fixed term basis to join a network of managers who lead an existing and high-performing network of care staff in our short-break homes. 2 assistant managers will also support you to ensure the home exceeds expectations. Therefore, the successful applicate will have access to peers and supervisors who have long-standing experience and knowledge.

As a Residential Service, we hold very strong views and beliefs that our children deserve the best care and support we can offer. We pride ourselves in developing positive, supportive & meaningful relationships with our children and their families. You will be responsible for ensuring the home achieves these expectations and that the trust parents place upon us to look after their children for short breaks is respected and earned.

With an emphasis on working creatively, we promote lots of fun activities for our children inside and outside the homes and ensure that our children and young people are supported to develop in all areas of life. You will work with key professionals to implement care plans to promote development, education and social engagement. Short Breaks are a vital service to families and are hugely enriching for the children. You will be responsible for making their stay as safe and as enjoyable as possible.

You will be required to achieve registration with Ofsted in accordance with the Children's Home Regulations 2015.

What our children want from you
