Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This role is to support DENSO's Automotive / Off Highway commercial Account Management Team. Responsibilities include the handling of commercial account management, project management, and logistics in relation to specific project or product lines. On a daily basis dealing with issues relating to customer projects, liaising with internal departments, DENSO Japan and manufacturing sites worldwide.

Supporting the sales planning process and projects for continuous improvement.

  • Support for phase in and phase out order handling/enquiries
  • Preparation and submission of customer reports and documents
  • Control of product forecasts, sample orders
  • Revised and annual sales plan support
  • General administration support to the Sales teams.

Responsibility for following company business/quality management processes and procedures.

MAIN TASKS OF THE JOB

Commercial Support: Purchase Order handling, sales price provision and quarterly resolution of accounts. Supporting Account Managers in quotation preparation, debt management, RETRO payment tracking, and purchase order processing.

Sales Planning: Preparation and uploading of the Sales Planning volumes and associated data including utilising analysis tools to check and verify data and to produce summary reports.

Sales Analysis: Monthly review of actual v forecast sales. Supporting the Account Managers to provide summary reports for Internal Sales Meetings.

Project Management: Support the local Engineering and Account managers utilising DENSO project management system to report status of key project deliverables and preparing summary report towards key project stakeholders.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Personnel: No direct supervisory responsibilities. Able to work on own initiative & with others.

Resources: Company laptop to be provided.

Planning: Support of Account Manager.

Decisions: Support the activity of Account Managers related to their specific account. Adherence to DENSO Sales Procedures relating to the boundaries between jobholder and line manager.

SUPERVISION

Reporting to the Sales Manager / Assistant Sales Manager.

CONTACTS

Within DENSO Automotive UK- Daily contact with peer group and management in Engineering and Commercial areas.

Within DENSO worldwide - Regular (to daily) communication with working level and lower management levels across DENSO Global offices.

With OEM customers - Daily contact, support face-face meetings, by email and telephone with working level. Support to Acct Managers to arrange commercial reviews with Customer. (Can take a leading role in the discussion).

WORKING CONDITIONS

Based at the DENSO Coventry Office, in an open plan environment. Some travel to customer sites (within 30 miles), primarily in support of Account Managers. Monday-Thursday office based, Friday home working.

Qualifications

Essential:

Business or other commercial area (possible Engineering) degree undergraduate.

Other degree disciplines maybe considered.
