Your key responsibilities
The Markets team lead our Account management and Relationship building at many of our largest FS Accounts. As part of this work we need to manage an increasing number of client led risk management and procurement driven activities that EY need to comply with such as staff vetting, risk assessments surveys etc.

We are looking for a Level 4, Associate Director, with a client-facing, Service Quality, or Risk Management background. If you join us, you will be an essential part of our ability to manage the risk and quality requirements of our clients, and to achieve success in the market.

  • Drive operational excellence through:
    • Responding to, and managing the client defined risk management activities across a portfolio of c15 large accounts e.g. client risk assessments or staff vetting processes
    • Building relationships with Client procurement functions
    • Building relationships with a range of EY functions and policy SME's e.g. data protection, HR, Risk Management
    • Coordinating the sharing of best practice across the Markets team to support smaller accounts and active pursuits
    • Identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement across the existing client compliance processes
    • Regularly updating the MSA Playbook and function documentation as necessary and ensuring this is shared / promoted to relevant users
    • Helping to shape how this role fits into the wider Markets and Client Account processes, as a new operating model emerges alongside our expanding capabilities and services
    • Supporting our wider operational processes and growth, with the potential for increased responsibility as we look to expand our support model over time
  • Lead both onshore and offshore personnel in:
    • Managing common cross-account activities such as providing support on MSA-driven activities (e.g. assurance assessments / audits, third-party surveys, sustainability assessments, vetting, etc.)
    • Supporting account teams to navigate SMEs across the firm and provide guidance on QRM responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of a strong risk culture through effective communication and training
  • Be mindful of the details whilst seeing the bigger picture behind specific client queries to identify issues that the business may not have considered

Skills and attributes for success

  • An experienced communicator, both in writing and verbally, and able to work within a matrix organization, balancing the client's needs with the wider goals of the Markets function and the EY Firm
  • Able to challenge where appropriate and make decisions, such balancing client requirements and the Firm's policies as well as maintaining relationships whilst tackling and overcoming obstacles with minimal supervision
  • Makes independent decisions but in line with stated goals / objectives and the Firm's risk management policies
  • Highly organised and structured
  • Robust project management skills and experience

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience working on client engagements directly or managing the risks EY faces when working with Clients
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders both internally and at clients

Ideally, you'll also have

  • An understanding of the Markets function
  • Experience of account management or procurement functions
