UK Territory / Country Sales Manager (Remote)

Greater London / North London

Summary/Objective: To focus on growing sales within geographic locations, specific customers, customer groups, and to develop our sales channels. You will be responsible for leading a small professional sales team based across the UK. The role is home based and could be located in the Greater London area or North London.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage sales issues in geographic territories as assigned.
  2. Lead, manage, develop and support the UK sales team.
  3. Develop and monitor Samtec top accounts.
  4. Conduct sales calls visiting top accounts as required.
  5. Sales training: Trains, monitors and evaluates individual performance and recommends enhancements to Sales Management.
  6. Deliver new product presentations.
  7. Coordinate and attend tradeshows as required.
  8. Travel throughout the region as needed. The primary objectives include:
    1. Rep/Distributor training and sales/engineering calls to key accounts in the territory
  9. Work in conjunction with the Industry Sales Managers to coordinate sales goal effort.
  10. Make business decisions on all pricing, product return, and design issues.
  11. Aid in evaluating sales channel performance.
  12. Approval of design registrations for "in territory" design requests.
  13. Regular travel within the UK is essential on a weekly basis; including occasional overnight stays.

Required Experience:

  1. It is essential that you have a proven track record in a previous role with experience in leading a remote, professional sales team.
  2. Proven technical experience is essential.
  3. Extensive experience within the electronics industry or hardware sales/hardware engineering is also an essential requirement.
  4. You must be able to demonstrate your eligibility to live / work in the country / market that you will be leading.
  5. Native or fluent English speaker is essential. A second language may be required if you are leading a market outside of the UK.

Education:

1. Bachelor / Honours Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Technical etc, would be an advantage, or equivalent related experience in a similar role.

Training required:

  1. On the job training as appropriate.
  2. Languages: Fluency in English is required; a second language would be advantageous
