UK Senior Regulatory Relations Manager

Would you like to join a team that serves as the firms' central relationship manager for our UK regulators and as a strategic advisor for internal senior management?

We are looking for a Senior Regulatory Relations Manager like you to:

• Work collaboratively within a team to centrally manage the supervisory relationships with the UK Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on behalf of the entire UBS Group, interacting with these regulators on a day-to-day basis and understanding their expectations and supervisory strategy
• Lead the coverage relationships for a sub-set of the UBS businesses and Group Functions and partner with teammates to cover other regulatory and internal relationships to complete ad-hoc internal projects and to brief GEB/GEB-1/2/3 management regularly
• Lead and manage Global and UK-relevant supervisory meetings, reviews, submissions, ad hoc interactions and escalations in close partnership with relevant businesses, group functions and international Regulatory Relations teams.
• Lead and manage large information requests and reviews akin to a project, working closely with various businesses and group functions in a structured manner to deliver the best possible responses to supervisory requests.
• Work autonomously as well as collaboratively with other members of the team to provide strategic advice to UBS's most senior Global and UK stakeholders on UK supervisory engagement matters with the PRA and FCA.
• Coordinate with global peers and stakeholders to proactively identify and manage common supervisory engagement themes and emerging risks.
• Develop written briefings and verbally deliver them as appropriate for members of our UBS Group Executive Board, UK Executive Committees and UK entity-specific Board of Directors members amongst others to ensure they are prepared for their regulatory interactions.
• Manage note-taking and follow-up actions from supervisory engagements you lead and track regulatory deliverables in line with UBS policies.

Your team

You will be a member of our UK Regulatory Relations Team in London, reporting directly into Head of Governmental & Regulatory Affairs UK. Regulatory Relations in the UK is responsible for managing UBS's supervisory relationships with the PRA and FCA, and act as a central advisory function for UK and Group management on UK supervisory matters.

Our UK Regulatory Relations team also works closely with peer teams and colleagues in Switzerland, US, EMEA and APAC to coordinate and manage multi-regulator engagements and in coordination with other teams within Governmental & Regulatory Affairs (e.g. Governmental Affairs) to define regulatory engagement strategy for the UBS Group.

Your expertise

• Ideally at least 10 years' financial services industry experience, preferably working with clients, business/front office stakeholders and/or regulatory authorities
• Required experience working directly within a Business Division or in a business-aligned 2nd or 3rd line function (Compliance & Operational Risk Control, Risk Control, Group Internal Audit)
• A proactive and collaborative team-player with a keenness to develop sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders and peers of all levels
• Very well organized, self-motivated and detail-orientated, preferably with project management experience
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, covering numerous topics and complex deliverables simultaneously under pressure
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to internal and external stakeholder expectations
• Ability to constructively challenge and identify opportunities for greater efficiencies, providing creative solutions and ideas
