Job Description

Role Purpose

Responsible, through dedicated teams and leaders, for the safe and efficient execution of FI operations in the UK and contract management against agreed service levels for UK suppliers. The scope of the role covers the following core operational activity;

• Service performance for D2C fulfilment from own operations. The Manchester operation delivers globally >2m orders/ year.
• 3PLs engaged in made to order or made to inventory (MTO/ MTI) operations in the UK.
• Handling and distribution of wholesale / B2B volume through own- and third-party facilities including distribution to in venue retail and event operations.
• Managing operational budgets for the UK operation.
• Scope and drive the transformation projects for UK operations, creating business cases and recommendations for optimization opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilites

• Safe operational execution measured through audit, near miss or incident rates.
• People and team development including objective setting, coaching and succession plans for all leadership roles.
• Leadership and direction of own operations in UK Fulfilment. Responsible for delivering a best-in-class fan experience measured through improved dispatch speed and accuracy.
• Meeting or exceed efficiency budgets measured through unit cost.
• Performance measurement and management for UK operations to agreed targets.
• UK MTO/MTI management and ownership of service performance.
• Maintaining capacity plans in line with forecast.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders to optimise forecast accuracy and UK network capacity.
• Own strategic planning and change management for the UK operation to leverage automation, network optimisation and operational synergies.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

The following are essential:
• 10+ years track record of leadership roles within high volume e-commerce operations.
• Contemporary experience leading a D2C fulfilment facility.
• Familiar and comfortable with all aspects of D2C micro fulfilment including IB, OB, Inventory management and WMS operations.
• Experience in managing 3PL contract management including negotiating service levels and tariffs.
• Working knowledge of lean principles and problem-solving methods.
• Demonstrable track record of leading teams through process change including introduction of new systems and automation to achieve performance improvement metrics
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and demonstrate performance and improvements against KPIs and objectives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Strong leadership experience with a proven ability to inspire followership and drive a winning culture.
• Proficiency in project management techniques
• Ability to think strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach to problem-solving

• Project management skills and qualifications
