About this role
We've just opened our UK headquarters! As our founding leader of the sales development team, you'll be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of enterprise SDRs that target CIOs, CTOs and CMOs at Fortune 500/Global 2000 companies and large enterprises in the EMEA region. You'll provide guidance, coaching, and support to drive individual and team success. Your primary focus will be on driving pipeline generation from both new logos and existing accounts, establishing and iterating on repeatable sales processes, and helping Writer continually improve how we serve our enterprise customers.
Your positivity, sense of curiosity, and ability to create champions from early adopters in the AI space will help shape our entire culture. If you have a builder mentality and are ferocisouly ambitious, this is the role for you.
As a senior leader in the business, you'll be reporting to our GM of International.
Your responsibilities
- Build, manage, and retain our founding sales development team
- Create a fun, high-performing environment where your team feel challenged yet fully supported
- Set innovated outbound, prospecting, and pipeline generation strategies, infused with automation where possible and human-touch where needed
- Be obsessive about coaching and continuously raising the bar for your team
- Own operational metrics such as pipeline growth, and outbounding targets
- Research key accounts' initiatives to help develop a "hypothesis of value"
- Find creative ways to engage prospects and potential buyers that fit our ICP
- Strategize and execute on multi-touch account-based campaigns in partnership with Marketing and Sales
- ...and yes, maintain accurate info in Salesforce to help us scale what works!
☆ Is this you?
- 3+ years leading a high-performing enterprise sales development in at a high-growth SaaS company
- Strong preference to experience building a sales development team from scratch
- Operationally excellent, with demonstrated experiences building and executing a highly prescriptive, value-based sales process
- Proven ability to work across the GTM organization to strategize, plan and execute a cross-functional approach
- Highly tenured at working directly with C-suite stakeholders in large enterprise organizations
- Demonstrated ability to drive efficiency with process improvement and systems
- Hands-on sales leader, energized by the transformative potential of generative AI
- Experience developing a UK book of business for a US company is a huge plus
- Genuinely excellent written communication skills - everyone says that, but we sell to great writers, so we mean it.
