Role Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Manager to join our IT Team. This position will ensure the integrity and rationalisation of all data globally. Duties include, but are not limited to, delivering the tools and technologies required to establish data practices from the business to the system and implementing the data engineering discipline.

Location: London, Fenchurch Street (Hybrid)
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 per annum (DOE)

Key Accountabilities:
- Contribute to data strategy execution, ensuring that data supports and enables organisational needs, now and in the foreseeable future.
- Own delivery of tools and technologies required to build the data platform enabling data services.
- Automate operational management of data pipelines - including request fulfilment and audit functions etc.
- Define and adhere to data SLAs (e.g. data quality, request fulfilment time, etc.)
- Lead the data services within Inchcape's various initiatives, ensuring that:
- Products adhere to and are incorporated into Data lifecycle management.
- Data Operations are implemented and can scale to handle future volumes.
- Manage collection and incorporation of additional data to support deployment and go-live schedules.
- Perform and support change management initiatives ensuring that all stakeholders understand the importance of data and adhere to data working practices.
- Implement end-to-end governance to establish data ownership and adequate controls to strengthen trust in Inchcape data.
- Part of the Data Leadership Team.
- Establish and manage the Data team, including stakeholder management for the current EMD team.
- Any other duty reasonably expected to be performed by the post holder at this level.
Key Deliverables:
- Establish a data engineering team and practices.
- DataOps established with SLAs defined, published, monitored, measured, and achieved.
- Data quality and integrity KPIs defined, published, monitored, measured, and achieved.
- Elevate the current EMD team to data stewards and performant 24/7 Data team.
- Establish data lifecycle.
- Automation to gain efficiencies with a continuous improvement strategy.
- Successfully delivering assigned projects and BAU work to the agreed scope, quality, and timeline.
Candidate Requirements:
- Data services manager experience
- Global data management experience
- Data engineering and development background
- IT and data architecture knowledge
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda, AWS Data Zone, Athena, Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, DynamoDB, Amazon Q, Amazon Quick Sight, etc.
- Experience in setting up DataOps and Data Engineering practices
- Passion for data technology delivering value
- Ability to travel internationally
- Understand the Maritime and Port Agency (desirable)
- Experienced in running Transformation projects (desirable)
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Shipping or Maritime Certification (desirable)
- IT or data certification (desirable)
