Post requirements:
MBBS degree
FRCPath Part 1 Necessary and Part 2 is desirable
English Language IELTS Examination
UK experience in a Diagnostic Histopathology Department would be an advantage.
Person specification
Education and qualifications:
Essential criteria
- MBBS
- FRCPath part 1
- Full registration (and with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC), or be eligible for registration within six months of interview
Desirable criteria
- FRCPath part 2
Knowledge:
Essential criteria
- Broad knowledge and experience of Cellular Pathology
Desirable criteria
- Interest in Urology, Gynae, Breast and Skin pathology
Experience:
Essential criteria
- Experience in reporting of general and complex histopathology as well as cytopathology specimens.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable criteria
- Experience of teaching at multiple levels
Skills and ability:
Essential criteria
- Confident handling of cases under Consultant supervision
- Understanding of principles of clinical governance. Ability to demonstrate continuing personal development
Desirable criteria
- Experience of teaching at multiple levels
