Job Description

The role of Treasury within M&S is to identify, monitor and manage the Group's financial risks. Front Office plan and implement deals to manage the groups' cash position and hedge exposures. Back Office confirm the details of these deals with the counterparties and manage settlements. Banking performs cash allocation and bank reconciliations.

The Treasury Operations Manager's role, whilst developing their team, is to manage and supervise Treasury daily operational results from liquidity and foreign currency management to payments and reconciliations, through to accounting and reporting, ensuring the operation of appropriate financial controls and compliance with Treasury policy and to deliver change within the Treasury team to ensure standard process in Treasury operations.

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include:

• Ensure that Treasury operations are delivered in compliance with the Treasury policy and the control framework
• Define new ways of working with better processes and improved control environment using system automation.
• Manage delivery of all external, internal and audit actions and requirements.
• Ensure everyone has a talent profile & is supported in their learning needs, with succession planning and performance management enabling a culture of learning and progression.

Who You Are

Your skills and experience will include:

• Prior treasury cash management experience and knowledge
• Process, project, and system development experience
• An ability to manage a complex and varied workload
• A good attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• The ability to manage both internal and external partner relationships
• A high level of proficiency in Treasury systems
