Shift patterns: 4 On 4 Off 06:00 - 18:00
Location: Derby - DE74 2BB (East Midlands Gateway)

We're now looking for a Transport Shift Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements at East Midlands Gateway. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and transport specific procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Accountable for the delivery of all aspects of the shift operation ensuring the delivery of efficient & customer focused service
• Accountable for driver and fleet compliance in line with legal and DHL standards
• Conduct effective daily brief/debrief, performance dialogues and ensure the recordng of accurate data
• Management of driver teams performance, training and record keeping

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Previous experience in a management role
• Previous experience in a transport environment
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage, organise and train direct reports
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages (desirable)
• A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received
