Transport Operations Manager
40 Hours (4 on 4 off shift pattern, 4am to 4pm/ 8am to 8pm).
Salary: Up to £42,500 per annum dependent on level of experience.
Join our team as Transport Operations Manager, as we continue to grow along with our customer IKEA. You'll be leading in our brand new, state of the art depot in Dartford. You will be leading a team of Supervisors, Drivers and Clerical colleagues to ensure the relevant delivery, productivity and financial performance indicators are met to deliver best in class service to our customer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Internal and external stakeholder communication, including meetings with customer, conveying facts and ideas in a clear and articulated manner.
• Encourage team engagement, development and coaching, including encouragement of two-way feedback and ideas within the team to continuously focus on best-in-class delivery and improvement (also including HR processes: performance reviews, investigations etc).
• Drive innovation and high performance with integrity, through high levels of safe working and practises.
• H&S delivery and regulations adhered to.
• Deliver transport fleet management and compliance, upskilling colleagues with transportation safety/compliance.
• Oversee performance delivery ensuring a high level of NPS/customer feedback is achieved.
• Ensure all product returns, stock debriefs are achieved.
• Deliver and track on transport KPIS/SLAs.
• Assist with driver hours in line with legislations, along with organisation of service and maintenance of vehicles.
• Ensure vehicle and driver records are managed in line with legislations and best practises.
• Point of liaison for escalation and incident reports.
What will you bring to our team?
• In-depth transport leadership experience within a fast-pace home-delivery operation.
• International or National CPC holder.
• Passion for transport compliance with strong knowledge in transport legislation.
• Engaging leadership style, people management and delegation experience.
• Commercially focused, thrives from innovation and development.
