What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include

• Works closely with planning and operations to ensure we deliver a phenomenal service at optimum value, with accountability for P&L
• Nurture business relationships and identify growth opportunities with the following, but not limited to - Freight Team, Warehousing, LPC, Freight Forwarders, Shipping lines, 3PL, 4PL
• Develops and maintains planning and operational SOP's with responsibility for SOP governance
• Ensures all Logistics Planning Center colleagues have the correct level of training and are signed off against the relevant Standard Operating Procedure's
• Provides the framework for delivering performance excellence, ensuring all line managers have the right performance information at the right time

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

• Experience in a cost and service lead environment with responsibility for P&L
• Experience of working in a freight movement environment - Port To DC via road and/or rail with an understanding of transport management systems (TMS)
• Experience of managing and developing a team, and supporting them through change
• Ability to decipher Management Information to generate positive outcomes for the immediate and wider teams thereafter
• Ability to lead programs from inception to delivery
