Transport Manager

  • East Suffolk Services Limited, Ufford Depot (IP13 6ET)
  • £39,152 - £42,839 per annum
  • 37 hours per week
  • Permanent

East Suffolk Services Limited is a growing and ambitious company delivering essential local services across the district. Since launching in July 2023, we've made strong progress and built a dedicated team committed to making a real difference in our communities.

We're now looking for a Transport Manager to join our Fleet Management team.

Your role:

In this important role, you'll be named on the Vehicle Operator Licence (O' Licence) and work closely with our Senior Transport Manager to ensure full legal compliance under the Department for Transport's statutory responsibilities.

You'll champion safe and legal vehicle operations across our fleet - providing guidance, training, and practical support to managers while helping shape a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.

From contributing to accident investigations to maintaining accurate compliance documentation, your work will play a vital role in keeping our people, vehicles, and communities safe. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact every single day.

You will have the benefit of:

  • A consistent Monday-Friday work pattern meaning you'll be working 7.4 hours a day.
  • No night shifts. No Saturdays. We respect your time, value your expertise and support a healthy work-life balance.
  • Join a role that brings variety every day as you collaborate with colleagues across the organisation, building strong relationships and contributing to meaningful work.
  • Be welcomed into a supportive, motivated and ambitious team where your contributions are valued, your growth is encouraged, and you're empowered to thrive

What you will need:

You will need a Certificate in Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage (National) and a full UK Driving Licence with Category B entitlement.

You will also have knowledge of operator licensing requirements and legislation, and proven excellent communication, decision making and problem-solving skills.

If you think you have what it takes to be successful in this role, even if you don't meet all of the essential requirements, please apply. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application.

Why work for us?

East Suffolk Services Limited is a great place to work and there are lots of benefits our employees can access.

Here are some of the main benefits:

  • Learning and development tailored to your role
  • A wide variety of staff support networks including access to health and wellbeing initiatives and programmes.
