Pay Rate: £38,000 - £42,000
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00 core Hours, (Flexibility required as operation run 24/7)
Location: Hatfield - AL10 9BD

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Implementing and manage transport TMS
• Lead and develop the Transport Team - core drivers - FLM, Planners and DDA
• Investigate / implement DHL initiatives through the Transport division to drive value for the Customer and DHL
• Look at achieving costs and efficiency for the customer and service
• Workload planning (Staffing & Volumes)
• Attend Customer performance and service reviews
• Manage team in fair & consistent manner & in line with DHL Diversity & Respect at Work Policy

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous and practical experience as a Transport manager within a logistics / 3PL environment
• Comprehensive use of All Microsoft packages - Mircolise & Tachomaster
• CPC National /International holder - Desirable
• Previous experience of distribution of volume orders
• Ability to manage, organise and develop direct reports
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received
