As Ooni grows, so does our need for data-informed insights & opportunities. That's where YOU come in - we are looking for an experienced data practitioner to own our data strategy & promote a culture of data across the organisation. We're hiring a Product Manager as part of our awesome Data & Analytics team, reporting to the Head of IT & Systems. This is a newly created role which is focused on building solutions which bring structure, simplicity and insight.

Ooni has a hybrid approach to work, with a minimum of 3 days a week (Tuesday to Thursday) at our office at Edinburgh Park.

What you'll do:

At its core, your job is to harness data from across our various systems and platforms and enable it to be presented clearly and concisely to key business stakeholders. You must ensure that our analytics tools meet our team's needs, are reliable, scalable, and deliver value that can enable key decision-making with confidence.

  • Partner appraisal and management: In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our external partners, ensuring quality service delivery and capabilities align with our requirements and that the cost investment is supported by adequate business justification
  • Roadmap Development: Engage with business stakeholders in clear prioritisation and roadmap discussions, ensuring proactive delivery progress and translating technical delivery into business-friendly terminology.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the bridge between the data team & internal stakeholders. Be the promoter & advocate for data, helping stakeholders understand the reach & impact. Ensure buy-in and encourage adoption of data products from stakeholders in order to maximise value.
  • Data Product Delivery: Define and oversee the delivery of data products, from initial concept through to deployment and evaluation, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and relevance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continually refine our service offering by optimising our ways of working, processes & technical solutions.
  • Technical Ownership: Lead the technical data strategy to ensure maximum value is obtained from our tech stack. Ensure that our architecture aligns with the broader Tech function.
  • Resource Management: Ensure the team is adequately resourced, including identifying and managing the right partners & building out business cases for resourcing needs.
  • Team Development: Cultivate an environment of learning and innovation in the data team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You'll have 3+ years of experience in data leadership with at least 3 years as a product manager
  • Experience working in eCommerce or Digital Marketing and familiarity with digital marketing KPIs and metrics
  • Experience in using Data Warehouses/Big Data as your data backbone - especially in blending multiple complex data sources.
  • A working knowledge of SQL (expert knowledge isn't required although you'll be expected to demonstrate a good grasp of data modelling & architecture)
  • You'll be able to own our data quality framework & ensure insights are correct & robust
  • You're comfortable managing & prioritising multiple concurrent projects. Project, People & Service Management would all be a bonus!
  • You'll be motivated to perform exploratory data analysis to identify anomalies & opportunities and be vocal about your findings!

You'll get bonus points if you have:

  • Experience working with GCP or another cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, etc)
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager or another tag management solution or CDP (such as Tealium, Segment, etc)
  • Experience in defining measurement strategies & working with stakeholders to produce dashboards/reports
  • Experience in forecasting & measuring ROI - specifically around projects & initiatives (Cost-benefit Analysis, measuring incremental lift, etc)
  • Experience in Cookie compliance (such as knowledge of GDPR guidelines) and/or consent management platforms (such as OneTrust) would be a bonus!
Experience in Web/Product Analytics - particularly in Conversion Rate Optimisation, Performance Monitoring, etc.
