WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead day-to-day transport operations across a busy 24/7, multi-customer site, ensuring consistent service delivery and seamless execution.
- Build trusted, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and customer teams, acting as the senior transport interface for all service and performance discussions.
- Own the P&L for the transport operation, delivering financial performance through operational excellence and informed commercial decision-making.
- Champion a Safety First and Quality First culture, ensuring all operational activity meets safety, compliance and regulatory standards - including fleet compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement across the operation, embedding First Choice principles and promoting innovation and problem-solving.
- Lead, motivate and develop your on-site teams, ensuring strong engagement, clear communication and effective resourcing and succession planning.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Transport CPC qualification and robust technical understanding of compliance, regulation and fleet performance - Essential
- Proven leadership experience within transport operations, including responsibility for a sizeable fleet and 24/7 operational coverage.
- A strong commercial mindset, with experience managing P&L performance and influencing customer relationships at a senior level.
- A resilient, agile and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage a start-up or rapidly evolving operation.
- Confidence to challenge the norm, navigate operational pressures and communicate clearly across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience building inclusive, engaged teams and embedding continuous improvement and high-performance cultures.
