Position: Transport First Line ManagerLocation: Lutterworth
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (06:00-14:00)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Ensure safe and efficient running of the day to day Transport Operation
• Ensure fleet servicing and maintenance remains compliant with site planned service schedules
• Manage Driver adherence to compliance with all legal requirements, including Infringement Management, Driver Hours, Etc
• Ensure compliance to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Produce weekly Payroll reports for agency drivers and monitor and approve FTE drivers hours within Kronos.
• Coach individual where applicable and work closely with HR department to ensure the correct People Processes are followed with regards to discipline and grievance
• Support and implement legal and company compliance policy requirements

• Previous and practical experience within a Transport management role within a logistics environment is essential
• Knowledge of drivers hours, CPC, digitacho and regulations is essential.
• Previous experience of the preparation and distribution of volume orders
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages (including Microlise, TMS Logics and Tachomaster)
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
• Keen eye to detail
