We're now looking for a Transport First Line Manager to lead our team of drivers, ensure operational excellence and maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and support a team of HGV drivers, assigning daily tasks and delivering regular team briefs to ensure the smooth operation across a fleet of 10 vehicles and 30 trailers
• Maintain strict security protocols when managing high-value stock movements, using enhanced fleet technology such as remote access and remote immobilisation
• Monitor driver activity and fleet performance with a proactive, vigilant approach, ensuring compliance with Working Time Directive, driver's hours and wider transport regulations
• Manage and communicate operational KPIs and SLAs, driving performance, safety standards and service delivery across the operation
• Participate in a weekly rotating on-call schedule to provide out-of-hours phone support, primarily handling queries from drivers

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Proven experience in a similar transport office role
• Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, coach and develop drivers effectively
• Solid understanding of transport compliance, including Health & Safety, Working Time Directive and driver's hours regulations
• Confident IT user with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and transport systems such as ETQ, Tachomaster and LOGICS
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels
