We're now looking for a Transport First Line Manager to lead and coordinate our transport operation, ensuring driver compliance, excellent communication between teams, and the effective management, development and performance of the team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
• Ensure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis and ensure clear communication between all functions within the transport departments and the warehouse team
• To lead the work activities of the drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development
• Carrying out HR Management tasks such as performance reviews, appraisals, absence management and disciplinaries

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Experience working within a similar role in a transport office / supply chain environment
• People management experience
• Working knowledge of working time directive and drivers hours
• Strong IT literacy - Microsoft Office and Transport Management systems experience is beneficial
