Transition Change Manager

Key Responsibilities
Project Methodology Phases;
Planning

  • Lead and drive complex TOM/transition change across the business. Support build of consolidated business/key stakeholder project plans.
  • Consult and lead on people and behavioural change and build people plans with people lead to cover end to end people changes.
  • Senior Leadership alignment and Subject Matter Expert (SME) engagement, building SME roles & responsibilities.
  • Lead SME and knowledge transfer kick off sessions. Create change and communication strategies which supports people through the consultation/transformation journey.
  • Support organisation design team to understand the change interventions and develop the business change strategy and roadmap.
  • Provide support which helps others to ensure that there is a defined and agreed vision, a clear picture of the future state, a fit for purpose Target Operating Model that the change environment is understood.
  • Advise people lead on changes required internally to deliver Service delivery model once activities have been transitioned or changes embedded within the business.
  • Lead SME and champion groups defining clear roles & responsibilities and deliverables.

Implementation

  • Support the business to be ready to accept the change, utilise new capability, and ensure the successful delivery and embedding of this change into the business.
  • Consult on use of best practices to deliver the changes across the business. Support People Lead with consultation process (if applicable) and effectively prepare executives for changes, delivering key messages and assessing changes occurring across the program.
  • Provide strong change, project management and organisational skills to execute the change transition deliverables and plans. Supports knowledge transfer periods assessing and tracking progress.
  • Support definition of business performance metrics (SLAs/KPIs) and creates Service Delivery Model and Governance. Strategic development and implementation of key stakeholders change journey and define the relevant assessments/metrics to measure success.
  • Support build of stabilisation plans/tracking and Hypercare model.
  • Build of business training strategy and materials for successful go live.
  • Achieve measurable improvements in organisational performance through effective change leadership.
  • Execute communications and engagement as per the comms strategy and plan.

Hypercare

  • Support Hypercare period operating against the business retained team model (Service Delivery).
  • Service Delivery team coaching and training.
  • Support Service Delivery team through Hypercare meetings, providing change/project governance and tracking of issues, risks & actions.
  • Support Service Delivery team to monitor performance metrics. Feedback on team performance and sign off readiness for steady state independent production.
  • Sign off meetings with key stakeholders for ending the project.
  • Create communications as per the comms plan. Support people lead implementing announcement strategy (if applicable).

Person Specification/Requirements

  • Relevant qualification, e.g., ONE of: Change Management Institute ACMF (Accredited Change Manager Foundation); APMG - Change Management; PROSCI or equivalent.
  • Experience of managing, implementing, facilitating, and monitoring change on complex/sensitive transformational change programs. able to gain buy-in to enable change to happen through others.
  • Strategic development and implementation of change impact assessment, communication, and training strategies
  • Evidence of driving cultural change and fostering a change readiness environment within the organization.
  • Has sound knowledge of the principles and concepts that underpin change management and can advise on a 'good practice approach' to business change.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills and high awareness of the project and program context and discipline. Fully competent at planning, risk management, and dependency management.
  • Effectively prepares executives for changes, delivers key messages, and assesses changes occurring across a portfolio of projects, creates a portfolio dashboard/view and plans change management activities accordingly.
  • Strong influencing, empathy and listening skills.
  • Addresses conflict and executes conflict strategies up to Senior leadership level.
  • Maps the dynamics of multiple changes, across various business segments, regions, and stakeholder groups, and identifies interdependencies across the project. Sequences change management activities accordingly.
  • Translates project information and data into compelling visuals that support project/initiatives' business objectives.
  • Works well under pressure and with complexity and ambiguity and can flex to changes in business focus.
  • Able to define problems and evaluate new concepts and ideas and identify recommendations and solutions.
  • Diagnose needs through various methods, such as focus groups, engagement data, interviews, workshops.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (including presentation) skills and a proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with various internal and external contacts.
  • Experience in building change capabilities in people managers through co-designing and facilitating interventions, delivering training programs, mentoring, and coaching, leading to an enterprise-wide embedded and sustained change mindset.
  • Contribution to the development and refinement of change management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in stakeholder management on complex/sensitive programs and has credibility and impact with peers and leaders; and able to gain buy-in to enable change to happen through others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (including presentation) skills and a proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with various internal and external contacts.
  • Able to identify both the overt and covert culture of the organisation and its influence on change.
  • Able to provide strategic direction and oversight of junior team members if required.
