Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to masters level or equivalent experience of leading at senior level
- PRINCE 2 practitioner, APM training or equivalent change management qualification.
- Evidence of continued professional development specific to leading programme or change Management.
Desirable criteria
- Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) training or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of NHS Operational and/ or clinical management o OR Experience of working in NHS England/ Improvement in national or regional mental health areas
- Experience of working in a leadership role within the NHS in delivering transformation, change management or improvement projects
- Experience of working with clinicians, practitioners, and service users and carers in delivering change
- Experience and ability to matrix work across multiple teams and organisations
- Demonstrable track record of leading or playing a significant role in the delivery of change management or improvement programmes
- Experience in developing new and innovative models of care, from end-to-end, to address unmet needs.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in writing successful business cases.
- Experience of working in the NHS or outreach work, or undertaking local engagement work (e.g. lived experience ambassadors, mentoring, peer support etc.), the experience of working in or with the voluntary sector, working in community groups
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Sound knowledge and experience of underpinning NHS policy and guidance, with ability to apply knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of change management, business process mapping and quality improvement approaches
- Advanced technical programme management skills with an ability to adapt the approach to a service environment.
Desirable criteria
- Membership of relevant professional body
- Knowledge of financial analysis and contracts
Skills Planning, Technical, Physical and autonomy
Essential criteria
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to drive and motivate teams of people at all levels of an organisations, and to manage conflict
- Advanced skills in planning and delivering projects to time and quality standard expectations
- Ability to undertake data analysis and present complex information to aid decision making.
- Ability to analyses, interpret and present complex information and quantitative and qualitative data, including financial data, and to make decisions based on highly complicated and sometimes incomplete information
- Self-motivating and self-disciplined, planning and organizing a work programme with conflicting demands and priorities
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
