Fixed Term, Part Time

We have two fixed term opportunities for Transformation and Commissioning Managers to join the Children's Commissioning team.

1 x 0.8 WTE (29.6 hours per week) 12-month fixed term contract.

1 x 0.6 WTE (22.2 hours per week) 9-month fixed term contract - 1st February 2025 - 31st October 2025 (career break cover).

You will take a direct lead on one of our work areas across the portfolio of: Social Care, SEND, Short Breaks, Early Help and Partnerships (Health and Education). You will manage complex transformation and commissioning projects, working closely with commissioners & transformation colleagues at the Integrated Care Board (ICB), education, health & care providers, children and parent carers to be a driver for service improvement. You will also be involved in a number of capital development programmes.

We're looking for someone with good experience of leading commissioning processes, with an understanding of and ability to develop expert knowledge in SEND, Short Breaks or another area. The two posts that are vacant were leading on SEND and Short Breaks, but there is scope to review this.
