Cowgills, part of Sumer, is a leading professional services firm supporting ambitious businesses through every stage of growth. Within our Deal Advisory division, the Transaction Services team provides independent financial due diligence to clients considering acquisitions.
Our role is to provide clarity and confidence by analysing a target company's financial health and commercial position-enabling our clients to make well-informed investment decisions. We operate across a diverse range of sectors and work with entrepreneurial businesses, private equity firms, and corporate acquirers.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking to expand our Transaction Services team with experienced professionals who want to play a key role in a growing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking more ownership, faster progression, and a dynamic team environment.
What We're Looking For
We are open to a range of backgrounds, but you are likely to:
- Have 2-3+ years of experience in a financial due diligence role within a Big Four, mid-tier, or boutique advisory firm
- Currently be working at Manager or Senior Manager level
- Be highly analytical with strong attention to detail, and comfortable working with complex financial information
- Ideally have experience in data analytics, including working with large datasets and tools beyond Excel
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with clients, target businesses, and other advisors
- Demonstrate a commercial mindset and strong business acumen
- Prefer working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where your ideas and impact are recognised
- Potentially have experience in business development, networking, or managing referrer relationships
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- ACCA or ACA qualified
- Proven experience working in a Manager or Senior Manager capacity
- Previous experience in a financial due diligence role, ideally within a Big Four, mid-tier, or boutique advisory firm
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercially minded, with a solid understanding of how businesses operate
