Role Purpose

This role sits within the dedicated Retail Account Team who manage all of the Transactional Activity across our clients' estate in the UK and Ireland (Global Bank). The Retail Transaction Management team report to the Strategy & Retail Account Lead, undertaking transactional activity surrounding 'portfolio change' namely acquisitions, disposals, opportunities from branches at risk and re-gears of existing leases and the transactional activity around the 'retained' operational branch network to include Landlord & Tenant matters such as Lease Renewals & Rent Reviews, together with Landlord & Tenant matters impacting the non-occupational portfolio.

The role we wish to recruit for is focused primarily on the 'portfolio change' side working within the disposals team managing transactions and delivering disposals within the UK. There may however be opportunities to be involved in wider transactional activity associated with the 'retained estate'. There are two other Retail Transaction Managers, a Data Analyst and an Account Administrator, all of whom the successful applicant will be working closely alongside, reporting directly into an Account Lead.

Our clients outsource their transaction management, estate management and data management functions to CBRE who manage all of the downstream activity. Additional 'call off' services are offered by CBRE including Building Consultancy & Rating.

The role means that you will have the opportunity to engage directly with the client and work with the CBRE Retail Agents to ensure the smooth delivery of transactions. The team have a strong track record of generating outstanding results for the client, one of the leading UK banking groups on the UK High Street.

Key Responsibilities

The management and delivery of services conducted by CBRE's Retail Agents from both Central London & Regional offices

Responsible for the delivery of Disposals for the UK Retail portfolio.

Responsible for maintaining accurate data systems for caseload.

Be prepared to take a more hands on approach to high profile and complicated transactions

Ensuring the appropriate recommendation reports required at different stages of the process are prepared accurately and promptly, to include Business cases submitted for approval as part of the governance process

Ensuring the accuracy of periodic forecasting

Provide Management Information, data and trend information as required for internal and external reporting

Managing the negotiated transactions through solicitors' hands to ensure timely conclusion of all matters

Work closely with the CBRE Estate Management team and the wider Retail account team on all aspects of transaction management.

Work closely with other CBRE Service lines including Building Consultancy, Rating, Planning & Valuation as required

Participate in weekly, monthly and quarterly internal CBRE and external 3rd party/client meetings, both in person and via 'Teams'/'Zoom' calls

Person Specification/Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-moving retail environment is essential.

Ability to motivate, develop and challenge internal stakeholders, to include the confidence to manage upwards as well as downwards.

Ideally an established property background with a good understanding of the principles of agency, negotiation and general asset management.

Strong collaborator with ability and enthusiasm to develop close working relationships with internal & external stakeholders at all levels of experience.

Ability to make sound and confident decisions and recognise the need to seek senior support where required.

Keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills required

Good time management and process skills required.

Self-motivated individual who can drive performance.

Strong IT & Data skills including Microsoft Word and Excel as a minimum.

Ideally MRICS qualified, but not essential.
