Overview

Salary: £57,000 - £61,000 Depending on experience plus company car & discretionary bonus up to 15%

Working Location: Home Based Contract.

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time.

The successful candidate must hold a UK valid driving license - Travel is required at least once per week with occasional overnight stay.

The company car is subject to meeting NHBCs minimum millages requirement.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

As the Training Manager, you will continually review and improve course content as required to ensure quality and develop new course content in line with business direction and customer requirements, while demonstrating excellent knowledge across the breadth of NHBC programmes.

We're particularly keen to hear from you if you have solid and proven experience in successfully managing the delivery of Apprenticeship programmes at level 4 and above & NVQ.

You will lead, manage, promote and develop the NHBC training business through the provision of:

  • Apprenticeship programmes
  • NVQ programmes (Up to Level 7)

Further to this your duties will comprise of:

  • Business planning and budget management of the NHBC training business.
  • Manage the co-ordination and delivery of training/assessments/reviews to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Liaising and consulting with customers, outside agencies, professional bodies, and government departments to ensure NVQ, apprenticeship and training programmes meet their qualitative requirements and ensure quality assurance procedures are effectively maintained.
  • Maintaining NHBC's accreditations, including NVQ Awarding Organisations, the Association of Project Safety, Ofsted, ESFA and other bodies as appropriate.
  • Ensuring that all training, NVQ and apprentice programmes are up-to-date and current.

Regulated programmes:

  • Ensuring sufficiently robust procedures are planned and executed to achieve positive Awarding Organisation audits and Ofsted (where relevant) outcomes.
  • Maintaining NHBC's accreditations, including NVQ Awarding Organisations, the Association of Project Safety, Ofsted, ESFA and other bodies as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to negotiate/communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to influence others, including external agencies, examination, and education boards etc.
  • Experienced with managing an experienced team of Trainers and Learners through programmes/apprenticeships with additional needs, or special circumstances (previous low attainment, disability, and motivational factors etc).
  • Track record of working and managing multi-disciplinary teams.

Education and Qualifications

  • Essential - Degree or equivalent alongside an appropriate professional membership (or working towards) of a professional institution e.g. CIOB, CABE, BSC, RICS Cert.Ed, BILD, IOSH, CMI, CPI etc.
  • Desirable - Teaching and Learning Qualification.
