  • Training Café, Skills and Activities Manager
    £33,000 pa, 37.5 hrs pw

    We are recruiting an experienced manager to develop and deliver new and existing activities on offer in our Training Café and Community Hub. This is a hands-on role, which will involve directly supporting people with learning disabilities who are participating in the activities to develop their skills.

    Initially you will be maximising existing opportunities in our training café and kitchen, then you will be developing and implementing new ideas and activities to deliver to client's interests and support the funding of these new opportunities in the Community Hub.

    You will lead and support a small team, which we anticipate will grow and develop over time. The majority of time will be participating in day to day running of the activities and ensuring the services are compliant.

    You will have previous experience of developing and delivering a range of skills development activities as well as working in a food services environment. You have experience of engaging with and supporting families and involving clients in the planning, design and implementation of services. You have a track record of building and maintaining effective multi agency relationships and strong financial management skills.

    You have experience of delivering a range of activities for people with disabilities. You have good people skills. You are able to work on your own initiative, you are proactive and can prioritise your work. You will have resilience in managing challenging situations and supporting others to do so. You will have strong communication skills and are able to have difficult and sensitive conversations. Confident to work alone and take responsibility for opening up and locking up the community hub and café safely.

This role can be worked between 37.5 hours per week across 5 days Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends. You will have a good induction with training and support from your manager.

    The role will require an enhanced DBS clearance.
