About this Role:
We are currently looking for a Trainee Property Manager to join our Crabtree brand in our London office. In this role, you will be assisting with the management of a portfolio of properties with a Senior Property Manager, as well as managing a small portfolio yourself. You will also deal with the coordination of minor works.
Main Duties and Objectives:
Assisting a Senior Property Manager with their portfolio as an assistant:
- Responding to requests from lessees for minor works.
- Liaising with lessees, contractors and surveyors.
- The administration of minor works processes with record keeping, instructing contractors, progress chasing, diary keeping, correspondence, processing invoices and filing.
- Liaising with other colleagues and departments within the company.
- Providing administrative support to the property manager when they are away from the office.
- Dealing with telephone calls, correspondence and any other support tasks as required.
- Keeping a record of time charges which are matters that are not included within the management agreement.
- Assisting with mail merges
Trainee Property Manager duties:
- Prepare and issue budgets for properties within the portfolio and monitor expenditure.
- Agree year end accounts for properties with the client and deal with enquiries as they arise.
- Carry out regular visits to properties within the portfolio and carry out EGM/AGMs.
- Appoint and manage the performance of cleaners, grounds maintenance and other contractors.
Essential Skills:
- Driving licence as you will be required to travel to sites as and when needed.
- Some Block Property experience is required. Maybe you are an Assistant Property Manager looking for that next step up.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Software (MS word, Excel, Outlook)
- IT Competency.
- Professional and efficient telephone manner.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under sustained pressure.
- Must be organised and willing be able to prioritise.
- Willingness to undertake continuous training and personal development.
Bonus Skills:
- TPI / ATPI qualification, or willingness to work towards.
