Trainee Project Manager - Romford, Greater London

As a Trainee Project Manager at Last Mile working under the UKPS brand, under the guidance of our experienced Project Managers and Senior Construction Management team, you will follow a structured training and development programme for approximately 2 years. Once completed, you will be ready to take on a Project Manager role, with full responsibility for your own projects.

Your responsibilities as a Trainee Project Manager:
- Assist the Project Managers in the management and supervision of internal and external staff.
- Responsible for project safety, cost and quality
- Prepare Work Instructions, Risk Assessments & Method Statements
- Liaise with Local Authorities regarding street works
- Procure and control project materials
- Provide monthly project reports and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Liaise with Distribution Network Operators & independent Distribution Network Operators to complete final connections
Experience / Knowledge:
- Previous experience in Project Management within the Electricity distribution industry or similar is useful
- Experience of Distribution Network Operator, independent Distribution Network Operator, local authority liaison and previous Distribution Network Operator, independent Distribution Network Operator authorisations an advantage
- Experience in managing internal and external labour for cable laying, cable jointing, switchgear installation and commissioning will be viewed favourably
- Previous experience of power distribution networks is beneficial
