Trainee Project Controller

Job Title: Trainee Project Controller

Salary: £ 30,571

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist with project reporting and scheduling
  • Query resolution of basic and routine problems
  • Attend meetings, create PowerPoint presentations, agendas and take minutes
  • Run local meetings for specific tasks
  • Reconciliation of spend reports
  • Run reports and data on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Develop a knowledge of Business Unit processes and procedures.
  • Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft Packages and Excel
  • Attend on the job training as appropriate

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • GCSE’s in Maths, English and Science at grade C and above
  • 3 A-Levels or equivalent at grade B,B,C level or 112 UCAS points

Desirable:

  • A formal project management qualification such as AMPM, Prince 2 or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of performance management techniques
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Project controls, life cycle and the business environment of BAE Systems
  • Basic understanding of one or more PC tools techniques and practices
  • Awareness of PM governance and assurance processes such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR’s)
  • Limited experience of working with stakeholders
  • Awareness of the wider PC environment, and of developments and practices in the field
