About the Role:
To undertake a robust 3-year training programme which will involve developing leadership capabilities in the role of Bio Energy Business Leader within Cameronbridge Site. During the training period the trainee will work as part of the management team at the BEP (Bio Energy Plant) to support the delivery of BEP production and improvement commitments as well as undertaking ad hoc projects as required. The success of the BEP is critical to delivering on Cameronbridge and Diageo's sustainability targets on our 2030 ambition of Net Zero carbon and delivering industry leading water use. This role has been built as part of our commitment to developing great leaders for the future, to develop in all the below:
Support the implementation of the manufacturing excellence system (referred to as TRACC internally) across the site, delivering sustained improvements and standards, building internal capabilities. They will lead & advocate the Manufacturing Excellence Systems (MMS) Programme to develop performance, standards, capabilities and asset care to exceed balanced scorecard targets. Set & achieve MMS departmental deployment plan working in partnership with the Performance Improvement Lead.
Provide outstanding leadership through delivering outstanding results and setting clear strategic direction in an operational area to RUN the business. To lead and advocate good governance to ensure that all health, safety and environment targets are met by driving site compliance with all legislation and internal Company Standards. Drive the risk compliance agenda across their group to ensure improved site performance against important risk metrics and delivery of site strategy goal of 100% compliance. Work at the tier 1 level leading and motivating the shift team to take accountability to deliver World Class performance in all aspects of the balanced scorecard and morale, supervising and optimizing process operations where possible.
Throughout the entirety of role the individual will lead and facilitate continuous improvement activities to support the delivery of breakthrough performance improvements across Cameronbridge. They will become a trainee Performance Partner to Business Leaders with joint accountability for results of the line through brilliant execution of IMPROVE projects. Create an environment that supports an inclusive and positive culture, where people feel they are listened to, valued and developed. Manage the high level of day-to-day complexities in a complex and busy operational environment to deliver high quality products in a safe manner to plan.
About You:
- The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong people and leadership skills and ability as a great teammate.
- The NEBOSH Health and Safety qualification is desirable for the role - if you don't already have it you need to be willing to achieve this qualification.
- You will have to be an effective communicator with effective influencing skills.
- You will have experience in developing effective working relationships with stakeholders and working in partnership with other teams
- Proactive structured problem evaluation & solving skills learnt through exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or Manufacturing excellence.
